The North Queensland Wedding & Formal Expo is a first for the Cairns region and now in its 20th year, it still continues to be a roaring success for the bridal industry.

In 2012, the NQ Wedding & Formal Expo moved to a new home - The Pier Cairns. Event organiser Sarah Whipp of Events NQ said the new location was an exciting new home for North Queensland’s biggest and most glamorous Wedding Expo and was to be the home for the coming years. It’s a great position, offering a new angle to showcase the many aspects of the expo.

The Expo will present over 100 Exhibitors set over 2 levels, encompassing the Pier Ground Floor, Mezzanine and The Shangri-La Events Centre. Guests are entertained by a variety of interactive and informative wedding and formal related services and product suppliers.

In 2012, over 6,000 attendees found exactly what they wanted, with people travelling from Mackay and Townsville to browse the booths of photographers, make-up artists, dressmakers, cake decorators, venues, bridal accessory stores and celebrants.
There is menu sampling, champagne tasting and tips, interactive booths with hair and makeup displays, massage and spa treatments and much more.
The event also features two innovative Fashion Parades showcasing many stunning collections
